I think the only thing stopping people from buying blues cubes, especially the higher wattage ones, is the price. They should be significantly cheaper than the valve equivalents.

The FX unit is probably going to be a GT-1000

Ax/Fx8/Helix comparable floor unit I'm thinking. 
Or, BigSky/Mobius rivalling verb or modulation unit to match DD-500.

To be fair to them though, I thought the Blues Cubes (and especially the tone capsule thingy) would fall into this category but the impression I get is that they're well-liked and selling pretty well.
