This plus 100% the flame and grain can look very different once the actual carving starts. I remember going to the Suhr factory and picking tops. The guy from Suhr helped pick out quality pieces of wood.Some of them didn't look all that great as a blank board.The guy from Suhr had been doing this for so long that he could look at the edge of the blank and give a good guess as to what it would look like once carved. Really interesting stuff.
