Help me choose a MTB

The company they use for bikes seems to deal mostly with Halfords but the Specialized they're offering is from a different supplier. 
I've seen the Voodoos in the flesh but unlikely to see the Pitch before ordering. I'd like to try and sort it next week as well as I'll need it the week after. 
I've replied saying I'd prefer to get a bike I can try in store, ie the Voodoo, rather than "buy blind"
Their previous offer equated to £405 worth of vouchers - £355 for the bike, £50 for kit. Current offer is a £450 bike plus £50 voucher for kit. I've suggested the Bantu at £400 plus £50 for kit. If they agree on that I'll probably get the Hoodoo and pay the difference myself. If not I'll take a pint on the Specialized. Their sizes are different (S, M, L etc) but I think the small works out to be a 16" or as near as.
