    I remember patiently waiting through eighteen pages on ceefax, trying to find out what was on at the local cinema.
    I would love to change my username, but I fully understand the T&C's (it was an old band nickname). So please feel free to call me Dave.

  • Our gig was on the last page of Ceefax and IIRC there were only two gigs on page 34 of 34.  :)

    They definitely used to do it in a club in the west of Ireland. I'm sure I witnessed it in a few over here too.
    Can't sing, can't dance, can handle a guitar a little.

    One of my early TV memories was that the picture on our TV use to drift slowly out of tune (yes kids, you used to have to manually tune a TV).  My dad would then come along, whack the TV on one side and the picture would appear again like magic.

    Oh, and my mum still calls the remote a "clicker" as the above TV had a one button remote which just used to cycle through the 3 (maybe 4) channels with a click.  Thems were the days!!!
