Aside from the mobius, what is the most versatile modulation pedal?

Drew-what are the must haves and the not so bothered abouts?
Phaser tends to be a staple. I usually have two settings, a slow sweep and a fast 'faux-leslie' sort of sound, although thinking about it I don't use that second sound on any of the 3rd album material.

But I want to experiment with other sounds - no particular requirements there though.
Check out the GFI thing. I've heard some VERY good things

And, I'd love to try one too as it seems exactly what is needed.

If you favour knobs over programmability, then the Keeley Super Mod Workstation.

It also sounds as if Eric Sykes programmed the sounds....it's dreadful.

Source Orb Mod is fabbie but a hell of a pain to switch

    I owned the Modfactor.
Some of the sounds are great- some of them are not.
It took up too much room on the board though, so I got rid of and bought an Analogman Chorus, which is awesome.
I've decided that for myself I don't need many modulation effects.
I use a bit of rotary in the FX8 and that is it.

H9 seems to be the one to go for, if you aren't looking at the Mobius.

Checkout this video I did for the MS70:

The first few seconds before I start playing guitar. Turn up the volume. Notice the noise and pitchy noise?? Then notice how it goes away when I engage the noise-gate?? That's how those pedals sound with humbuckers into a clean amp. It's not the amp generating the noise because the noise-gate would have no effect otherwise. It's definitely the pedal.

Well yes, I admit I can hear what you're talking about there. Never noticed anything similar with my own board, but maybe it's there - I'll have a careful listen next time I use it, and see. Hope it won't lead to me wanting to ditch the Zoom kit and then another round of pedal expenditure...

C'Mon , Drew's set up changes more often than Trump's 'Facts' and statements in a debate. ;)

Ah I don't really know him....,
just most people cite 'I will never have to use pedals again' as a major part of getting a rig like that.

Ah - were money no object I'm afraid - to get a worthwhile improvement I think I'd probably be looking at a load of Strymon and/or Eventide stuff, plus some sort of MIDI switching rig, or possibly FX8 or Helix. Basically more dosh than I can afford/justify at the moment. :D

Zoom MS70CDR. Vastly more cost-effective than any of the others, too.
I couldn't get on with the high pitched hum my 100bt and 50g gave off so one is on the shelf and the other out the door
Not had either of those, but the MS70CDR I had was spot-on. Even worked in the loop of my Jet City, and not many pedals can say that.
I had the 50G and found it noisy and a bit of a tonesucker. Not so with the MS70CDR and so another +1 for this

The gfi wave lab is good. Had one a while ago - v solid range of sounds and you can have 2 mod fx at once on series or parallel
