I can't see him selling many of these, the J20 is loved by pros because you can both use it at home and at a gig.  This 10w is just for home so if one were you wait that long...and knowing she J20 will get the same sound? (Presumably it's the same character) can't see who the target audience is.

Jesse demoed a Cruiser Deuce for me at the Kempton Park show with his 60s Strat through a prototype J10 (probably the same one used in the video) and it sounded glorious. So I bought the pedal, obviously.

Look, if you want to crack jokes about the comic juxtapostion between watts and waiting lists, then you've got to accept that watts are logarithmic, not linear.
I think that's decibels - but given the sound of it, I'd imagine the waiting list will be VERY short indeed....
    I disagree.

Jesse has a record of creating huge demand for his product and the J10 will be no exception. It'll still be a 20+ week wait and the Lazy J enthusiasts will be lining up like Apple fan-boys on iPhone launch day.

In terms of the sound, ANY amp will sound shit when recorded in a noisy exhibition hall with a mobile phone, so take that demo as it is.
I've got bootlegs from the 70's recorded outdoors on a Binatone cassette player and a microphone that sound better..so not any amp. Moreover, apparently the only person making any significant noise in the hall was Harris, interminably, and all day, much to the displeasure of some of his fellow traders.

Having a set of ears that work, and the experience to adjust my opinion to prevailing conditions, I stand by my original comment.

As if we don't have enough J20 and J40 threads, we've now got J10 threads to look forward to.

I saw Phil 'Plant Hire Specialist' Harris playing the Peter Green/Gary Moore LP through (IIRC) a 35 watt prototype at the North West Guitar Show, a couple of years ago.

So hopefully there's more to come....

Am I the only one who thought that demo was quite good. At least it showed off the amp's capabilities.
All right, not the best recording but better than a lot of youtube demos.

What's the biggest rig-o-hype at the moment?

I reckon it's an Echopark guitar, into an RYRA alone in to a lazy J.

I'm sure, btw, it would sound really rather good, just not sure not much better than some other, less hyped, alternatives.

I'm with you @Sassafras  I thought it had quite an authentic vintage sound. It may not be everyone's cup of tea and I'm  borderline really but it certainly isn't a bad sound that some have suggested but then it's all subjective isn't it

  • Maybe someone should ask the guy who recorded the video what he thought ?

You know, I still think the j20 sounds sublime when driven, and so does the j10 apparently, but what makes lazy j's lazy j's imo is the spongy super responsive feel, a feel you cannot replicate through a video, which goes for any amp for that matter.
