Just make sure the cables are absolutely straight and raised about an inch above the ground by resting them on acoustically tuned bamboo blocks.

You sound like you know what you are talking about. Is the lower slot to break up resonance?
    No, it just boils quicker.

The one you get with pp2 supply is way too short IMO.

Imagine using one of these to boil a kettle though. The tea would taste AMAZING.

As long as it is moving, you are fine. The problem begins when it stops....

Did that price include a kettle?  Does the term "bellend" apply to everyone who buys expensive things rather than Chinese knock offs?

    These are £5.99 a pair.

Still useless, of course, but less expensively so.

I just rest all my cables on breeze-blocks. They absorb all the negative energy in the room that would otherwise affect the free flow of electrons through the cables.
If you don't believe me then you're missing out on a huge performance improvement to all your equipment including kettles, toasters and microwaves.
Even my electric razor gives me a far closer shave with this system.
Of course, I can't prove this scientifically but it stands to reason, doesn't it?
    Besides, it can't hurt.
