I watched the trailer for it on KODI this morning, It looks good.

Trailer looked a bit bland and gave 90% of the plot away, was going to avoid but have seen some positive reviews. If you dont expect a movie like Contact you will be ok.

Looks pretty promising, I'm prepared to give it a go. Could be great, or pants, like a lot of hyped modern cinema.

Trailer seems all right. Hope it doesn't give away too much of a story.
So little decent, high budget science fiction movies these days though - I'm have high hopes for this one and will be going to watch it in cinema.

Amy Adams is imho a great actress too...and pretty hot! ;-)

I have. I've seen a lot worse this year, though I will not be getting out the Cineworld card to watch it again.

Watched it yesterday. Quite surprised.
Good bits: atmosphere, uncliche'd, smart conceptual twist that riffs on determinism.
Bad: unresolved non whizz bang ending.

Still glad I saw it, wish it came with a sequel though. If you've seen Enemy with Jake Glyllenhaal then you can expect similar unconventionality from the director.

I was ten when n this came out. An aunty got it for me for Xmas on cassette. I was ten. I'd have preferred something rocking, but I didn't know the names of any bands. Except The Shadows.

I'm going to see it today. 

There have been quite a few "mould-breaking" films lately, with abrupt endings you have to think about:
Predetermination
Enemy
Nocturnal Animals

Loads more I can't quite remember.

If I expected a movie like Contact then I definitely wouldn't go to see it.

Denis Villeneuve is one of the more interesting directors around and he seems to be a rising star.  Arrival looks promising but I probably won't see it until it comes out on Blu-ray.

Saw it yesterday. Good overall, but I thought the end was overly drawn out. Im not sure if there is meant to be a 'surprise' at the very end, but the audience already knows if they have been paying attention.

6.5/10 for me.

Mainly because I want a film to be entertaining, not giving me political messages. I came out feeling subdued. It will probably rake at the oscars, it's that kind of film.

@Bygone_Tones , I think you've pretty much summed it up for me.  I thought the 'twist' was well sign posted. The only thing for me was wondering what Deus ex machina they were going to use to get there.
