I used to hate films without a satisfying ending, but I love them now.

@frank1985 , as far as a sequel goes,  I don't know where there is to go from where it ended.  I believe that it pretty much tied up all the loose ends. It was based on a short story as opposed to a series of books so I'd be wary of it becoming a bloated franchise which is what Independence Day may well have become.  BTW I have nothing against the ID franchise, I think that it's a perfectly serviceable popcorn munching nonsense.  I believe that not all films have to answer the nature of human existence and stuff.

@holnrew, what did you find unsatisfactory about the ending?
