Trump is like a bull in a china shop .
"Take these three items, some WD-40, a vise grip, and a roll of duct tape. Any man worth his salt can fix almost any problem with this stuff alone." - Walt Kowalski
"Only two things are infinite - the universe, and human stupidity. And I'm not sure about the universe." - Albert Einstein
"Kicks open the outhouse door and comes staggering out, trousers round his ankles, with both guns blazing".
Somehow this mental image seems appropriate for Mr Trumps diplomacy skills.

This was announced by Josh Earnest, who will be out of his job next month. How can he or anyone else in the soon-to-be-redundant White House folks give commitment to anything?
The BBC did something similar when Reagan won, trying to make out Carter was still in charge and keep pronouncing Reagan as "Ray-Gun".
China is the way Trump will get Republicans on his side.
So the US has a one China policy and as far as I know no-one has formally stated any intention to change this. Therefore no matter what the fuckwit tweets, the US is still committed to a one China policy. Obama is still the President, Earnest is still the press secretary, therefore if they think it is in their country's interests to issue this statement, then they are perfectly right to do so. The BBC is also absolutely right to report on it - it wasn't an opinion or analysis piece, just simple news reporting.
I see. You know better than Trump what the US is committed to.
1) continuing to think of Trump as a fool/joke/idiot is daft
2) the USA's foreign policy has been broken for a very long time
3) treating China and Putin differently is no accident
They can't access Twitter.
Obama is still in charge. Earnest is still the press secretary. No-one has said the policy will change. The statement was justified. The BBC were right to report it.
I've tried to re-word my argument so it is simple enough for you.
