Baileys

What's Hot
I have rediscovered this following a baileys cheesecake slice for a pudding last weekend. Bought a bottle on Monday that is now empty.

It's proper lush aye it?

I don't much care for it as a drink, but Our Maud makes the most wonderful tiramisu with it - apparently she got the idea from Nigella.

Also, all the Indian restaurants around here give you a glass of it when you ask for the bill.

A DBI is a nice Christmas evening drink (Double Bailleys and Ice)

It's nice in coffee as well

I drank a litre of it (over a few hours) at a party once in my youth, the last half a glass was hard work ;)

You should try a BMW (Baileys, Malibu and Whisky) - that'll put you off it again! ;)

  • I remember watching some diet show on tv once featuring tv gardener Tommy Walsh and he was drinking Baileys by the pint. Over 1800 calories in a pint so no wonder he was a fat bastard.

We bought some ready for Christmas the other day but finished it this evening so need to go and buy another bottle ready for Christmas!
Although actually we buy the cheap Aldi version called Ballycastle.

  • We're cheapskates so drinking Aldi's Specially Selected Irish Cream Liqueur. It's pretty decent. I fancy trying the hazelnut Bailey's.

See that sounds appealing - but in reality Baileys is hanging.

Plus, and I know this may be controversial, but its not exactly man points is it?

And yes I know a 'real' man doesn't give a sh*t and drinks what he likes..... I am just saying I feel a bit of a wet blanket sipping a Baileys and ice.

I've never tried it, I just remember the Alan Partridge "Ladyboy" round - a pint of lager with gin and tonic and Baileys chasers.
