"Socks and pants as presents" support thread

If like me you have a reached an age where you only get socks and/or pants for christmas, join me here and let's be curmudgeonly together. 

I am now sporting a pair of crazily thick/soft/insulated socks that genuinely mess with my head - it's like I no longer have feet -  no sensation only a creeping warmth. It's most odd.

I also got Reindeer boxer shorts, but they *are* that designer "F&F" brand!

Socks are great, if they are of the stripey bamboo variety (softest most comfortable socks in the world)

I'd have been happy with a pair of socks.

 Mind you - I haven't bought a thing for anyone else, so I suppose it's fair.

I'd love socks and pants! I got precisely fuck all. Although I'll no doubt get some sweets off relatives when we see them later and some cash off my Mum to put towards next year's GAS.

Me and the wife don't do presents haven't for years.

If the socks are 9-11 and the pants are large (I'm not bragging) send them to me...

yep, socks and pants here, it is the only time I get them though and some of the current ones are scraggy with holes and look like my crotch has been mauled by an angry bear, so I'm grateful to treat my nethers to some fresh bedding

Socks and undies here too, my arse and toes are hanging out of my old ones so quite a welcolme present. Theyre probably a better present than the electric chainsaw that the mother in law got me, all I need now is an open fire to burn wood on and I'm sorted.....

This is the year for practical presents chez-TT.

We'll be buying me a new workshop in the New Year, and we'll also be buying MrsTT a trailer for her tractor mower, and a field store.

There's also a couple of pairs of thigh length boots on the list (his 'n' hers), though apparently they're called "waders" out here in the country and are generally worn by those who have yet to master the art of walking *on* the water.

I got socks and three t shirts, all tesco own brand. 

The girlfriend got me two adventure time to shirts that are awesome,though.

Same here.

Ended up with designer socks (forget the brand) and CK boxers. Most appreciated, 'cos most of my others have got holes in.

it is 15:47 and I have just had the 1st course and waiting on the desert - it takes my Mum about 8 hours to cook 6 spuds and a turkey leg...

Then I have two envelopes to open although she has about 10 perfectly wrapped assorted gifts from me... Where does it say that you have to switch roles from the lavished child to lavished OAP?

I was presented with a pair of 'Welly Shoes' in a Sainsburys carrier bag by my in-laws. I've always considered these things to be both utterly hideous and completely pointless, however to cap this off it turns out that belonged to a friend of my father-in-law who died in the summer. My f-i-l passed therm on because they were 'too uncomfortable' for him.

Beat that.
