Decided to go for the steak after all, then discovered that the wife ignored the "RED WINE - IMPORTANT!" part of the shopping list. Damned if I'm having steak without my favourite sauce (red wine and dark chocolate...don't knock it until you've tried it...).

Looks like it's curry and chips.

Nope. The only one open today is the one next door, and they closed two hours ago.

It's OK, the beef'll keep until Tuesday (doing the rounds of my family tomorrow), and hopefully I'll be healthier by then.

It has to be said, this time of year you can get away with some shocking double entres....

i prefer breast to leg please
i like my birds with a good stuffing
you have to rub Butter all over the breast to get it moist
wrap the sausage in bacon- it tastes better

etc etc- you get the drift
