theres some great guitars out there for that kinda dough.  get a fender, a gibbo, or even a PRS you can't go wrong with any of those mate.

Why not do something a little different and go along to somewhere like Bailey Guitars and build your own - totally unique and you get to decide what exactly you want out of your guitar. And that goes for wood selection/finish too.
