  • I wasn't into this in the early 80's, not surprising as I was only about 12, but both these tracks are insanely good and I consider them top notch musicianship now.

White a lines wasn't  ahead of its time,  it was very much of its time.
The music is total early 80s no wave and the rapping is of its time too.

@Bellycaster - the Mezzoforte is very much like morning dance by Spyra Gyra who were a world class jazz funk band
Yup Matt Bianco were a bit Latin different ...........that song would make a great Dance Sample

  • I'll have to put on some Spyro Gyra again @Dominic ;, heard a few tracks and liked them. I totally love the Bassline on the Matt Bianco track.

I did like Tears for Fears at the time and still think they are awesome, their music never gets old. Sowing the Seeds is fantastic, very Beatles-Esque

But in a brilliant way, where you instantly spot the references but they take the song somewhere else - quite unlike the plodding Beatles-by-numbers efforts of quite a few Britpop bands (not just the obvious suspects).
