You could - VirtualBox works too (and has the full "integrated desktop" option). However, neither will even get close to native performance, and dealing with hardware is even less fun.

I run it in Vitrualbox, I store the hard drive in my Onedrive account and it syncs between my Desktop and Laptop.

It's alright, can be a little sluggish in my laptop, but it's fast enough for what I use it for. I only use it for Programming, I write assembly code for Arduino and it's easier to compile on Linux. (The Windows compiler is very buggy)
