  • I'm a bit of a fan of the capybara.  They really look like they couldn't give a damn about anything.

saw a doc on discovery a few months back about a big bay in (i think) south africa where the largest number of great whites on earth gather at a certain time, without fail every year. the waters are far too dangerous to swim in for a couple of weeks, but a couple of years ago a pod of killers turned up and they spotted a huge great white floating with a massive bite taken out of it, within 24 hours there were no great whites left within a hundred miles, they'd all legged it (finned it i suppose would be more accurate), the 'top dog' is terrified of the orcas.

they have different 'accents' around the world, they talk to each other, each pod 'nurses' it's sick and elderly, even one with deformed fins, a birth defect, was seen being fed by other pod members. they rock!.

My Dad used liked gibbons too. Whenever he saw one he would say gibbon a kiss, which he thought was very funny. He died a long time ago and I hadn't thought about that for ages. Me, I prefer the sloth. If I was an animal I would be a sloth. My wife tends to agree.
