I'd like to go but I probably won't. Seen Vai a few times.

If I could do the set list for him then I'd definitely go! He has tracks I love very much. (he also has tracks to far out for me)

I'd like to go to this - Manchester for me as there's no Bham date.

    Also wasn't 1990 26 years ago?

Also, where has the time gone?

Also, has there been a better pure guitar album since P&W?

I'd love to go but I can't make any of the dates. I do wish performers woulfd check their fans' diaries before booking anything. ;)

    Thanks for the notification anyway...

"One of the notable features of the tour is that Vai will be playing the entire "Passion and Warfare" album for the first time on live sets.  "Performing this record from top to bottom (with some very special surprises in the works) is something I've always dreamt of doing. There are songs here I've never performed before, and I'm delighted that 25 years after its release, I feel as though my guitar chops are as much up to the task as ever before "

I'm actually not sure how I can get to any of them  :x wish there was a midlands date, I can't afford the time off mid week...Manchester might be my only chance...

I think I'll go - I'll buy you a pint :) I'm sure @viz will be at all the dates too.. there must be something Vai related of his that remains unsigned!

I shall definitely be grabbing tickets, as P&W was probably the one album above all others which made me (who had been playing guitar for all of six months) realise there was a whole musical world in those six strings, and embark upon many teenage nights of practising scales and picking until I drove my mum mental.

All these years later, I may have moved on from my shreddy days and abandoned most of my old widdly music tastes, but I often listen back to that album and realise just how musical it was, full of great melodies, excellent phrasing and superb arrangements.  Will be nice to catch him doing it all live before his fingers start giving up!

-- Before you ask, no, I am in no way, shape or form related to Fuzzdog pedals, I was Fuzzdog before Fuzzdog were Fuzzdog.  Unless you want to give me free crap, then I'm related to whatever the hell you like! --

If you went from work, would Bristol be closer?

A bit closer, but Manchester's on a Sunday so I could get there easily....getting back will be a late one of course for either.

Really wish there was a Birmingham or Wolverhampton date!

I'm going to every date and taking everything in our house apart from food for him to sign.

He's playing Bristol on my birthday, it's clearly planned so I should go really.  Better check he hasn't put me on the guest list first.

P&W was a great album ... would be worth hearing that played live.

Remember, it's easier to criticise than create!
