You'll never have any issues with the EA SIS plugs/cables. Whereas, the Lava stuff has a tendency to give up the ghost on you at gigs. I know - it happened to me! Un-fucking-forgivable!!
Since investing in the Evidence Audio stuff, I've never looked back;)
I'm constantly gigging and therefore my pedalboard is perpetually on the move and getting bumped about.
Good call. The Disaster Area patch cables/plugs would be my second choice.
And I agree with you about the Lava owner being an internet oddball. I find some of the posts he's made over at TGP off-putting.

Good sellers, I've used them a few times.
Edit - if you get the disasterplugs, use your own screwdriver rather than the one they supply, which ime chews up the set screws.
