it's an amazing but really simple germanium boost that can get fuzzy depending on the gain.
One knob for gain and one rotary switch with different (really well chosen) frequencies.
It's really simple to get great tones on different amp/guitar combos as all you need to do is twist a knob to dial in the correct area of boost.
Even though its its not strictly OD it works really well as an overdrive, and it's also excellent as a mixing tool also.
i also love the xotic RC booster. It just sounds awesome with gain cranked.
I'd eat a dick before I took that off my board.
Nah, you're all right. Keep it on your board.
The Nobels ODR-1 (and god, it was a long search till I found it), doesn't get lost with the Orange.
I have absolutely no idea why one should disappear but the other is distinct when superficially they don't sound a million miles apart.
Just weird shit I guess. <-- technical explanation.
Mine is an (almost) always-on pedal, depending on the amp/ mood I'm in, lol.
*EDIT: I can actually LIVE without it but my guitar sounds better for it.
It's so awfully versitile
