All the best for your future endeavours. I tried out a Yamaha thr100 dual head a few months back. Great amp :)
I would love to change my username, but I fully understand the T&C's (it was an old band nickname). So please feel free to call me Dave.

    Ross,

Good luck mate, and congrats !

You know, some years ago I was crazily thinking of leaving a well paid job with all the trimmings, and felt caught between fear and action. One of my mates simply said,

"...just try it, whats the worst thing that can happen ?"

I made the leap, and it changed my life positively. Now, very happy and love my job. If it doesnt work, its easy enough to step back in some form.

    I might be slightly paraphrasing Thoreaux here;

"Step confidently in the direction of your dreams, and you will meet with unexpected success in the common hours..."

Life is short - well done mate !

/\ what the Waz says +10. As I reach my "twilight" years and look back with so many what if and should I moments, hindsight tells me I should have said bollocks and gone for it. If it goes tits up you're a talented guy who will jump back on the bandwagon effortlessly. Go for it and live the dream.

    Good luck!

I was made redundant by my Architectural Practice eight years ago and that forced my hand to start up on my own at the worst economic time possible.

Have built a successful architectural design company over the past few years, it's given me opportunities I never would have had in a large practice. I've met loads of interesting people and done some amazing projects, but also been able to work from home and see my 2nd son grow up.

You never really stop work, but kind of integrate it into your life. I would never go back to working for anyone else.

Can we all just have a moments appreciation for Mrs Ross?  If I told my other half I was leaving my job to become a full time musician I'd either get laughed at, or slapped!

You had a job a lot of us on here would love, so bravo going further again! Any chance you could share more detail on the things lined up?

    2 things:

    1. Congratulations - scary but no doubt far more fulfilling in the long run.

    2. Does this mean you can keep your Larivee now?

Go for it, you only live once. You seem to have several possible income streams and these days diversification seems to be the way to be a professional musician. Good luck and keep us posted.
