Thanks also Steve but that shape's not for me, nor is the burst again I'm afraid, Looks a bit stretched out somehow! Keep em coming though

I meant either. I hadn't heard of the bendy neck issue on the mustangs, but I'm still tempted.
The G&L Tribute fallouts are a bit rare at the moment. I bought a sonic blue one from Thomman back in February for £300. The price has since gone up, sadly. The one I got wasn't perfect. The neck has a few very minor flaws - it just could have been tidier really. But, having said that I really like it. It is by far my favourite and best guitar. It really does cover plenty of ground with the P90 and a splitable humbucker.
Have you seen the Revelation RJT60 Thinlines? They might be worth a look.
Edit, this is the 4 pickup one:

Something like the vintage Hofner mentioned above, or a fun Framus would be a much better bet. Even a real Hagstrom if you can find one in budget.
the hagstroms always look like I should like them but somehow seem too sharp and pointy looking for me. There don't appear to be any Framus guitars even on Thmoann for less than a grand, have I got the wrong end of the stick?

I think so far I'm liking the following:
The Gretsch duo jet thing
Italia Mondial
Maybe some kind of Mustang or Duo Sonic if they aren't too small
G&L Tribute Fallout
Revelation 4 pickup jazzmaster style
Schecter Ultra III
But interesting seeing what people come up with, thanks guys as always

I have an old duo sonic and I love it, I put 13s on it so tension feels like my other guitars.
Guitar Crazy in sunny Sedgley also listed as a stockist, although it's a tiny shop that only opens about four hours a day. Again, no online stock listings although I'm sure they'd be pleased to see an actual customer.
I've been gassing over this for a while
I personally use a Casino and a Gretsch, both of which sound great for Jack White sounds - tbh, most things can sound like Jack White if you put them through something that sounds like a dying amp
Hagstroms - I always thought of these as a Strat meets an SG, only less boring. [JOKES!]

The Gretsch idea is quite tempting as they are easily and readily available, a little bit conservative looking maybe but nice nontheless. Re sounding like Jack White, I'm not necessarily after something to get that sound, I'm sorted for that, I just wanted to clarify what styles of music I'd play on it so I didn't get suggestions like shredding guitars or Les Pauls really. Incidentally I don't play through an amp, my Princeton has not been switched on since I last recorded 3 months ago, and before that not for a good 6 or so months. I use JHS Twin Twelve or MXR distortion plus Kingsley preamp, into speaker sim and then to monitors. Does the job
