to be honest I'm not all that worried about it. It took months before I found the sweet spot in the Axe. So I think it's just a matter of time.
i play in the David Cross Band
DC used to be in King Crimson
also we've added David Jackson to our lineup. He used to play for Van der Graaf Generator.
our drummer Craig also plays for Stephen Wilson

I don't know but I turn the knob once to create the brackets then use the editor from then on
now we have nice gain..
that's what I ended up doing...
Btw - A FB friend of mine played with Ray Wilson on the same bill as you last week I think - he shared some footage of the DC band from backstage Also footage of Rick Wakeman's gear while he was waiting to go on. It's Ali Ferguson, local Edinburgh lad and great player.
I was with them when they were about to go on.. wishing them well…
One of them [may have been Ali] said to me "are you fast enough?" and laughed… lol..
dry riff morphs to clean ambient
solo morphs to clean but remains ambient
clean does no morphing at all
I reckon I'll struggle to do my next preset..
riff to clean
solo to clean
clean to pad
riff to pad
then simultaneously increase and decrease the gain on the pedal sweep?
there are a few templates for that kind of thing that are worth looking at

I don't think I've ever had gain over 5 on any of the Fractal 5150 lead models and I'm pretty sure Clarky thinks that is a clean sound

I do the same with real amps too. I'm just used to that sound and the extra sustain
amp1: path 1a
amp2: path 1b
path1 links to path2
amp3: path 2a
amp gain is not enough.. ah need more dirt cap'n </MrScott>
this is true
