Pickup cavities original and untampered, so def not a messed up deluxe.
Serial number stamped and starts with a 1 and then the pots match up.
The pups are the correct patent numbers for the age and unsoldered to the vol pots.
@richardhomer - sshhhh!! we don't want the asking price to go up!
Seriously if this is a '74 i've always fancied a birth year guitar. What is the neck profile like on these? did they suffer from the narrower nut widths like the SG's of the time? Does it also have the original case? Tuners are later schallers?
The neck is really comfy - I'd say it's wide but mid. Def not narrow and thin as with old 335s and def not fat, as per R8s etc.
Schaller tuners but could be changed back and none original black Gibson style hard case.
Where did you get such a fact? :-)

Worth noting...
Wide binding in the cutaway - I noticed that on mine, as I'd never seen this before on a Les Paul.
Shallow angle neck and small volute.
It's got the 3 piece pancake body.
The one difference on mine is that it has a four piece top and not three piece.
*Lust*
However, gear rich and cash poor...
