    This video was mentioned on the Guitar Nerds podcast. I forget who it was, but one of them wasn't wearing earplugs and ended up feeling physically sick.

    I've played a couple of JMPs at about half volume- it's absolutely glorious, but you wouldn't want to do it every day.

    Love that video. I've had the pleasure of playing a 2203 half stack at full tilt and it was glorious. That was in a big room though, I wouldn't fancy it in a tiny room like that!

     In the 80s I did a whole gig at Highbury College with a Marshall Jubilee 100 W on full belt for  The whole time .....  back then nobody thought anything of people playing that loud it was kind of expected .  Wouldn't want to do that now though !!

    I bet the floor was shaking beneath their feet. I've played an AC30 flat out a few times dimed (no attenuator) and that's LOUD....a 100w Plexi is that like 3 or so whole dbs louderer? (like I really know what that is in real world terms).

    I used to own a Soldano Decatone with matching 4x12 in snakeskin (still miss it and would have another in a jiffy). Every so often i would crank it full. Ribcage thunderingly glorious. But still not a Marshall.

    The look on their faces too :)

    I have a similar 100 watter and it is crazy loud.
    It can feel too ragged on ten so I tend to run it (with attenuator) at 5-8 with a drive pedal in front. 
    I've no idea how Eric Johnson run his "lead" plexi on 10 with a tube driver in front. Must be some careful gain staging with specific v1, v2 tubes and the power stage biased right.

  • Love it! I used to own a 100W plexi. I only played it on 10 once, with a Les Paul in a rehearsal studio. What an experience, it was majestic and stupid all at once. The rest of my band were cowering on the other side of a foot-thick door.
