Can you still whistle?

I used to be a whistler to challenge Percy-whatshisface-bird-impressions, but I discovered this week that I can barely whistle a note anymore. I'm assuming it's something to do with flabby cheek muscles and lack of practice.

Can you no longer whistle?

I can, but not tunefully- I grew up working on a farm & learned to control the dogs with whistles, so I whistle using my fingers in my mouth (as I no longer carry a sheep dog whistle for some reason!).
I now mainly use it to get my 6 year old to stop when she's ridden her bike to far away to hear my shouting her name!

I've never been a decent whistler although it was my father's sole musical talent ( apart from singing Chattanooga Choo Choo with the wrong words).

My wife hates whistling too so it's not something I indulge in but as she's out I've just tried and no I can't do it, maybe it is an age thing?

I can still "wolf whistle" with my fingers though. I can also do the owl hooting/cuckoo thing with my hands cupped.

Yes, but rarely whistle these days. I can still do my patented bloody loud whistle which involves stick four fingers in my mouth. It's still loud enough to make my own ears ring. I'm sure it will be useful one day.

My wife can whistle two different notes at the same time, through her teeth and through her lips.
It sounds horrific, but is very funny, especially when she attempts the Dock of the Bay solo while she's drumming.
