It has surge protection, though I mounted it to my wall at home as it/my gear never moves.
You can get more expensive ones that also 'condition' or clean up the power if its dirty.
Were rcd's recommended for live use?
If you use generators or do festivals with suspect power a proper protection device is recommended at a cost under about £150.
And @gringopig what benefit do you think you’ll get from that? I see that your based in Edinburgh. Do your amps run at 115 volt in which case you’ll need a step down transformer from 240 to use this? Or do you intend stepping down uk mains from 240v into this then stepping up again to 240 v.
Each socket outlet circuit not exceeding 32A and all final circuits other than for emergency lighting shall be protected by an RCD having the characteristics specified in Regulation 415.1.1 (i.e. 30ma rated trip current, trips in 200ms at rated current, 40ms at 5 x rated current). So yes.
