Regardless though, the thing that sets these apart is the quality of ageing. The pictures I’ve seen look exactly like the blackguards in Nacho’s book. He seems to have got the technique of the paint sinking in, which I’ve not seen anyone else replicate.
The thing that’s always made me gas for one is that some seriously talented pros who are blackguard owners have been hugely complimentary about the work Nacho has done.

its a lot of money but I’m guessing a fraction of the cost of original. I bet it has the same feel, tone and Mojo about these Nacho’s.
i really want!
I'd guess also with 6015 frets and a 9.5" radius they are unlikely too either. I've played both and whilst the Nacho was a great great Tele, it still sounded to me like a new guitar. I've played a number of old 50's Tele's and they have a thing of their own going on that no one has been able to duplicate yet with a new one.
Carson Hess makes incredible replica's too, would love to play one of his.
“the wood is cut using CNC programs which we created. Final shaping is done by hand. Some parts like pots are custom made for us. We make our own jack cups, string trees, string ferrules, and knobs. We wind our own pickups. We cut our own pick guards. I’m running a small guitar factory I don’t work by myself I have people working for me who do things the way I like. Bridge plates, strap buttons and tuners are sourced from vendors.”
Now I want one

So the Nacho Guitars are even closer than we think? @Strat54 ?
I didn't realise that the radius where 9.5 on blackguards!
It's an art to relic that takes bloody ages and you need to look at originals to get close, something the big makes can't do so they'll always be a market

I must say, of the 5 or 6 50’s Blackguards and a couple of Whiteguard Esquires I’ve played, I’ve found them all to be thin and brash sounding and rather awkward to play, the neck shapes varied a lot. I personally much prefer an early/mid 60’s Tele.
Thats not to take anything away from Nacho’s work of course, which is fantastic IMO.

Yes it's great work indeed and not easy to get right

Does need some tweaking but will be one of my favourites once that has been done.
Loads of tiny little details that make it the closest I will ever get to owning something that old and pricey. Even if I had the funds I am lefty so even less chance.
Recommended - just get it setup out of box.
The Blackguard book is really good too.
You'll have to post some pics.
Was it just not setup the way you like? Frets etc good? Whats specs did you get?
