Are PRS and John Mayer going to do this?

I think they’ll hold fire on the SE... but I do think it will happen someday if their relationship with JM doesn’t sour. They are back ordered way into next year on USA SSs so no point in cannibalising those yet, IMO.

Bet we’ll see new colours...

Wow, you surprise me there, I spoke to a dealer here last week who told me they were beginning to stick having sold the intial ones and that there was now a stock surplus.
i'm guessing on new colours and maple board to help rejuvenate sales.

Bet the UK is now onto held stock... but from what I see from dealers on Facebook in the US they are still selling through remarkably quickly there...

But you never know. Whatever makes 'em the most money I guess...

I think maple boards and new colours would make sense. But then they just released an SE Paul's Guitar and I reckon John Mayers' name association would sell more units than Pauls'.

What I *REALLY* hope they do is release a Silver Sky MkII... I can hear Paul now... "What we've done is reinvented this entire guitar... everything we've learned in the past (year?) we've put into it, from new hardware, to new pickups, to new fretwire, to new wood, everything is different. The old one? It's garbage, you should burn it, this one is the ONE TRUE WAY FORWARD. RRP £2999 no gigbag included."

Lol.....you obviously remember last time he said that. He upset a lot of old customers that day who loved the old guitars, yet in some ways he was right.....he just went about it in a bullish kind of way that dismissed its 'heritage'

Nope, and seemed a weird conclusion that the internet had jumped to based on the Instagram posts from Mayer. I wondered if i’d missed something.
