I kind of thought it would be easy to pick up and play but it's actually quite tricky, would take practice to get good.
I use it over the neck pickup, but back it off slightly to reduce the volume because it can overdrive quite easily.
Big Country - The Storm - Live 1984
I think the first use was Steve Hackett on the album The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway.
Forget which song- it is somewhere there.
It is one of those devices I'd always suggest buying two of, if you can.
They always seem to break at the wrong moment, especially if you are gigging regularly and they end up rattling around in a gig bag or case.
Or get a padded box for it to live in.
