The RH2010 model (25 pieces I think) was an "aged" finish.
There are a few other examples off and on over the years. Paul himself is not into the idea, but if you give them enough money they'll do it.
I know they can change policy, but I recall Paul saying years ago we won't offer a relic finish - we fit strings to the guitars so you can play them and apply your own relic finish via use
I’ll tell him next week when he’s crowning my tooth.
To me its not one thing or the other.
Edit: That is a private stock that I'd happily see kept private, locked up permanently. It's horrid!
But I don't think any of the pics do it justice - There is a lot more light ageing going on as can be seen on the pics of the rear of the body - Yet equally I can't see any sign of ageing to the hardware
I know not every one buys into the aged vibe - I know many think a PRS should look perfect - I don't think the pics do justice whatsoever to the finish - But I do know that PRS and Wildwood would not accept a mediocre attempt
New knobs - check.
Tightened pickup switch - check.
Fitted straplocks - check.
