2019 Petrucci sig guitar

Not for me ....

Not keen on the shape (top horn too big), knobs look very close to the edge, trem looks too big, I'm not a 24 fret person either. I'm sure others will like it but it's not a guitar I could love.

A first fret inlay - strange place??

And starting at £3.9k!

The Majesty isn't a new guitar, he's had this model in his EBMM collection for several years now and it has always looked similar - am I missing something as to why the 2019 version of an established design is suddenly more unpleasant than when it was released a good while ago?

According to Petrucci it's so that he never has to put his arm anywhere weird - they're positioned to be in the sweep of his arm. Quite clever really, if odd to look at.

I like that - though I think it looks better in blue or red.

Suits the music Petrucci plays and at least it's not just another traditional S/T/LP copy.

If that works ergonomically for him that's fine. My only problem with multi £K guitars like that is that in many ways they look like poshed up budget instruments. If I didn't know what it was at first glance I'd say £400 Cort.

I like the Kinetic Blue finish they've released this year. I prefer them with no inlays though.

This finish suits them better in my opinion. Quite similar to mine
