I think that if i didn't already have the HT1 then this would be a great option, but the Blackstar is my only amp and I want something i can use to jam with.
I think it might depend what style of music you play, I don't play anything too heavy and I really notice the difference.
Katana mini would be a sensible option.
I very nearly pressed the button when my wife's car failed its mot and apparently the car was more important! The kind of music I play is blues or classic blues inspired rock with a 70s Strat and a Tele and my guess is this is exactly the kind of thing you play and exactly the reason your not into Katanas?
@keefy I recently sold my 68 princeton. Its playable at home and sounds great, not possible to play whisper quiet I found, too bassy.
For most of the time in the evening I can get away with a tweed Champ with the volume at around 4 and that suits me fine because I like the warm tones when playing quietly.
