Exam Results - just cost me a guitar!

I promised Fuengi Jr a new guitar if he got three 6's in his GCSE results. He got one 7, four 6's and a pair of 5's. 

Trip to Guitar Village awaits. I'll never be so happy to part with some cash!  =)

    A 5 is considered a C+ / B- (a strong pass) the 6s are equivalent to Bs and the 7 is an A.

    All I currently know about my lad is he has got the grades for the btec 2 thingymajig he is wanting to do at his 1st choice college. Not really sure what it all means TBH

    Will know more when I get home, if he is happy then that's all I care about.

    I need to do a GCSE in understanding GCSE results! 
    Congratulations to him. 
    My youngest got his college results last week and he did very well, no on the day present but we get to give him hand outs whilst he does his degree for the next four years.
    Tipton is a small fishing village in the borough of Sandwell.

    He's pretty chuffed. Just hope he doesn't now think he overqualified for his part time job at Tesco!

    I'll update with whatever he choses, we might be going acoustic.

    Well done to the nipper (note to self, keep this thread hidden from Cols Junior - he also got his GCSEs today).

    The grades now go on a scale of 1-9, with 9 being the best.  I’ve spent much of today translating the results into something recognisable for bewildered relatives.

    Turns out I can't actually read exam results, he actually got six 6s not four. The combined science grading was confusing (for me)! 

    9 exams in total. 

    Might have to get him a Lowden!
