I recently did a fair bit of research around this. My criteria were a chair that I could sit in comfortably for hours to work at my desk (real work, not playing a guitar) and then be able to play guitar from time to time at my desk.
My logic went that I needed removable/foldable arms.
I went for a Humanscale Freedom. Very comfortable chair.
The arms do fold down in a clever, but simple mechanism. It is almost perfect, but the arms still protrude an inch or 2 so that there is a small amount of bumping with the lower bout of the guitar. I solved this by using a classical footstool to raise my leg.

If you google it, you'll find it's eye-wateringly expensive, but they are about £250 on ebay second hand, and you can probably sell it for what you paid for it when you don't need it any more. That was my logic!

The arms fold up out of the way when I'm playing and it's very comfortable.
