So I wanted to build a strat with some specs that you can’t really find and building it from scratch was a bit outside of my comfort zone as I wanted it spotless.
I got the body and neck from
@GSPBASSES who did an amazing job, and finished it with milk paint, wipe on poly, oiled neck, Wilkinson hardware, Fender hot noiseless pickups and PTB ( treble cut and bass cut ) wiring.
Body is ash, the neck is 3 piece maple with Santos rosewood.
It’s a wide neck with a fairly flat radius and big frets.
Sounds and plays like a dream, I’m super happy.
The PTB wiring works exceedingly well
with the fender pickups, goes from big and punchy to vintage or smooth.
Comments
I never put the back covers on my tremolo guitars, as I find I have to adjust them often enough for it to be a pain.
I'd have thought it makes the middle one redundant.
@axisus it’s vintage white, I can see what you mean on the photo, it looks less stark in real life.
Thanks for all the nice comments !
What sort of lunatic stares in awe at the trem cavity of their guitar?
Your audience certainly won't know unless you habitually play guitar with your teeth a la Jimi Hendrix.
At the moment I'm looking for:
* Hamer Watson, SS2, Vintage S, T62.
* Music Man Luke 1, Luke II
Please drop me a message.
