On a serious note Tim is an amazing guitarist and a big chunk of that tone is in his hands for me. I'm pretty sure if he'd used my R8 in that video it would've sounded as good, my Les Paul standard not so much but in the ballpark for sure. There's plenty of options out there for 59 style tones from loads of manufacturers, and for me I prefer it to say Gibson on the headstock. PRS make great guitars that's for sure though.

As a viewer/ listener it was pretty much pointless. That one sounds like a guitar, that one sounds like a guitar that's quite like it and so on. However, if you want a modern guitar that sounds like a nice vintage Les Paul then PRS seem to have done it, even slightly improved it from a player's point of view ( that clip with the Alright Now guitar sounds awful although I'm sure that's the recording). That'll be a £4k guitar? I think reasonably that should be a nice guitar.

To me, the PRS sounds just as "good". I'm very impressed.
They are so close that it's pointless to pick on tone. And obviously with a video I don't know which guitar feels better in the hands.

Nah, I'd take a Harley Benton everytime.
