Supergluing pencil top rubbers to the tips of your fingers.

Yes, you read that right, according to an article I read in Guitar Guitar Guitar a lot of pro players are gluing pencil top rubbers to the tips of their fingers, apparently it greatly improves accuracy, speed, agility and even sustain. Also the cleaning action helps keep your strings new and polished for longer. I haven't tried it myself, yet, but I reckon winner winner chicken dinner.

    Don't know about pencil top rubbers, but if I haven't played a guitar for a couple of months I do apply superglue to the tips of my fretting digits. When the superglue has hardened it saves me the string pain until the calluses have reformed.

    Which are the best ones, the soft ones for rubbing out pencil or the hard ones for rubbing out ink?
    I'm guessing the hard ones offer more sustain.

    Indeed they are, but you do tend to rub out the frets more quickly.

    You might be on to something. It might make my fingers longer as well, so I can play like Allan Holdsworth. Although that other extension kit I purchased never worked :(

    Sitting on your hands will eventually make your fingers longer, and flatter.

    Superglue to the fingers works ... I get it all the time in the workshop ... but it plays havoc with the fingerprint recognition on me phone!

    I tried it once but it didn't do much good. Are supposed to remove the erasers from the pencils first?

    You could always try the facial recognition.

    Or maybe not.  My daughter was most displeased when she set up facial recognition on her phone, only to discover that it would let her younger sister open the phone thinking it was her.
