  • Reckon in 40 years playing I've owned 150 basses.

Off the top of my head the current stable consists of

46 Peaveys, did have 58 of them. 2 Vigiers, 3 Tune Bass from Japan. 3 Fenders. 6 custom built (51/Telecaster/Cabronita ).
Couple of Retrovibes, 2 Wishbass Lobes. Wilson Sapphire from 68. Gordy Blueshift.

    Probably forgot a couple.

Just the one - a MIJ Fender Mustang Bass strung with La Bella Deep Talkin' flats. Not getting played much at the moment, as I'm between bass amps and mostly playing guitar.

My favourite now is a Kramer Aluminium neck. I played a SG Nanyo Bass Collection for a few years, really enjoyed that, nice and compact.

    My trading feedback

is it crazy how saying sentences backwards creates backwards sentences saying how crazy it is?

80s Ibanez Roadstar II P-bass with a maple fretboard.

Cheapy Yamaha something or other, RBX maybe? Tuned to F# B E A for use with 8 string guitar. (The f# is tuned above the E rather than below the B.

    G&L Tribute L2000.

Thinking of adding a 5 string soon.

  • I have a G&L Tribute M2000.

I do love it but I suspect I'd be better suited to a P bass, at least tonally.

A vintage Fender Jazz... with a serial mod.. my current main recording instrument

A mid 80’s Aria SB1000... my main gigging & theatre performance bass.  Incredibly well made, through neck.

An old 80’s Ibanez P bass style fretless with a really great to play neck.

On the look out for a 5 string or an old Yamaha BB

    I’ve never had a Sandberg.

I am quite partial to Rickenbackers.

Nice collection. Do you have a favourite? Also, do the fretboard widths vary, is one notably slimmer than the others? (asking for a friend). :)
