Needs a few listens, it's ok and the guitar solo is ok.  Not sure I am liking the Video, DG looks about 95 !
Should he give up ?  No, he produces music for his fans..

Would I buy this ?  Maybe

Must be great for DG to be in a position to not give a toss about what the aged PF fans think. He's really enjoying life and making the music he wants.

I love Floyd but Gilmour in these later years has lost the power in his voice, he sounds "tired" to me

I suspect you will too when you reach 78.

Same old boring PF half time stuff with no character. Yet they say it's necessary to keep economy going and to feed families, so I guess it's ok.

It's OK I suppose ... if he's prepared to conjure some solos then I'm prepared to emulate them in my own inimitable fashion ... that makes me a rock star

I think of you’ve got to his stage of life and have his career behind you, you’re not looking to impress new fans or lay any new track on your railway. It’s purely because he wants to do it and those of us who’ve enjoyed the catalogue he’s put out over the last 60 odd years get one more chance to hear something we’ve not heard before.

I hope the album offers up something truly memorable but I’ll try and enjoy the ride as best I can either way.

This track is growing on me now after a few listens and it’s true that it does like the benefit of being played big

    Better according to who?

Curious how you can be so definitive over something so objective?

As a new single released, compared to Gilmour's attempt. And yes I am a big fan of Dave.

I’m a big fan of both men too. I’d personally put both new releases in the category of not their best work but I’m very grateful they’re both still producing music. But that’s just my opinion, it’s not a statement of fact.
