Well done on that. When i was in bc i popped into long and maquade i thinks its called. Got a lovely little parlour sized acoustic.
If u can wait might be worth waiting , shipping from USA too will be a peace of piss
Good luck on both counts.
That's the sensible option. Are you my wife? And I always thought you were just posting on Mumsnet all the time... That is a very good idea that I had thought of. Shipping isn't the issue. All our stuff will be in a 50ft container so a guitar is nothing space and cost wise but the potential for damage or theft is high when transporting your stuff.
Aw man, if I wanted sensible, thoughtful advice...
I'm not sure about buying something from the US tbh - I think shipping from the States to Canada is surprisingly expensive.

I think you can bring stuff back, but I don't know what the customs charges are like. Equally, if you're that close I do have a faint memory someone spoke of running a PO box (or the like) at a town just south of the border, as this allowed them to feed their GAS without running up the shipping charges... I think (oh for a memory).
Still, I'd hope you'd find enough decent bargains on the Vancouver/B.C. Craigslist/gumtree etc, it's big enough!
