I've been looking for a tiny but "not practice" combo or amp for orchestra use. I had almost pulled the trigger on a Phil Jones Bass Cub, but this cab looks great.

Some of the basschat guys have them already, and they are tiny

So I'm going to have to order one.

    Those look eversoeverso cool.

I'd love to be able to justify buying one but my Gen 2 Midget will just have to do.

  • It will be my first Barefaced.

My big rig is Bergantino with a Demeter amp, but it's too much to play with woodwind instruments! :D

Very interesting. I'd love to hear a comparison with a shuttle 1x10".

  • From the written specs the Shuttle doesn't go as low as the BFB but does go a lot higher.

BFB cabs have a reputation for being very efficient and the One-10 is supposed to be safe with a clean sound up to about 500W handling.

Very impressive if that is the case.

If it handles the lovely juicy low B on my Marleaux then I'll be thrilled.

  • Just got an email - they had one in stock so it will be here tomorrow!

Normally they are built to order with a couple of weeks lead time. Very happy!

    Calling @Bucket...

Knowing how small the Little Mark is, this cab is *tiny*.

  • "Out for delivery"

    woohoo!
0reaction image LOL 0reaction image Wow! 0reaction image Wisdom
  • That is insane if it sounds good and handles 500 watts at that size.

  • Alex (the bloke that designs them) reckons it's not a good choice for a raging rock band as no matter how awesome his speaker design is (he does design the speakers themselves, doesn;t buy off the shelf) you can't beat the physics of a tiny box.

But for many other uses it should be bang on.

  • Yeah I'd imagine so but it is still cool.  Given how powerful small bass amps are these days it makes sense to have smaller cabs still be able to handle their output.

  • I'm going to use mine with my existing Genz Streamliner 900 - which is for sale. It's a bit too old skool for me - I like super clean and then pedals if necessary.

    Then I'll get a Tecamp Puma 500.

Brilliant little amp. Super clean and only 2.2lb.

That could be a 500W giggable rig weighing only 18.2lb (plus a speaker cable).

The Puma has a superb DI as well - so the little cab could easily be used as onstage monitoring, with the PA doing the heavy lifting.

  • It has arrived.

It is very impressive. Nice and clear, plenty deep enough and very lightweight.

I'll break it in properly over the next few days.

Sweet :D That's pretty awesome if it sounds good and is as small as that. Though I probably do play rockier stuff :))

Interested to hear how it sounds with the streamliner 900 as I have a 600.

  • I'll try that tomorrow!

No, I wouldn't expect it to be either. That's not what it's for.

It would look pretty stupid on stage with a raging rock band anyway… a bit Spinal Tap Stonehenge :).

The 2x12" one is big enough to look right though.

  • Do you remember a short lived band called "Mammoth" who were massively fat?

They played with a fake backline that was 1/4 size to make them look even bigger! This cab would be perfect! :D

The little cab won't replace my pair of Bergantino CN112, but for anything not needing a loud drummer I think it's going to be hard to beat.

    Wow that's teeny :D

  • Given it some low B abuse today with some Motown tunes. Didn't miss a beat. Very impressed.
