Just had this in from jesse so am spreading the word for him.
To those interested in Lazy J amps!!!
I was contacted by someone who bought a used J20...as it turns out, this person already owns another J20, so he had something to compare this new purchase to.
Then he called me, because the amp just didn't seem right...and after seeing some pictures I can confirm that this is a fake...and a sad one at that. Whoever did this tried to copy certain parts of a J20...he's obviously had access to one.
But the wiring is just bad...and there are enough obvious tell tale signs that the new owner of this amp contacted me.
I will get to take a look at this amp next week, so I'll know more then...
Would everyone please spread the word about this...and also, if you're thinking about buying a used Lazy J amp and you're at all uncertain about it, give me a shout. I'll be happy to authenticate it for you.
Many Thanks and have a great weekend,
Jesse

No, I didn't buy it, He put it up on Facebook and asked for the info to be passed on/around just to warn any unsuspecting buyers to be on their guard.
Here's Jesse's actual post:
He's just suggesting that folks stay safe and only buy new LJs.
Just kiddin'. Jesse is a top guy.
I must admit I always go back to the builder if it's a boutique amp to check its authenticity etc before I buy them I.e. Gartone, MJW
(formerly miserneil)
He's a really good guy, and the support he gives is brilliant.
