Get a job you scruffy fucking hippy, pay for it yourself. If I had 7k I'd buy the guitar just to wrap it around his head. Cheeky prick.

I'm not sure which newspaper I'd have to read in order to understand this concept. It's like that pay-per-pixel web page a while back, except it requires neither a good idea nor the hard work to make it happen.

That's just this strat funding idea. I like most of Mr Simpson's YT channel, but it's there to offer exposure to Mr Simpson and provide a little income.

How many people on here are wishing they had thought of this first?

If I had thought of it, I wouldn't lower myself to it.  Even back when I was young and skint - I'd have got by with what I had.

I don't buy the 'sponsor him because he gives this videos away for free' thing.
If he has a proper channel then it will be making money.
A lot of folks do this- look at Justin Sandercoe's channel and website.
But he is hardworking and organised.

Making videos and putting them on youtube and then asking for viewers to sponsor you so you can buy a fancy guitar isn't innovative or inventive- it is simply begging.

I wouldn't dream of doing a GoFundMe page like this myself, and I think it is definitely questionable morally. But comments like this are just not called for - where's the need? His appearance has nothing whatsoever to do with this.

If you got a haircut and acted more professionally then you would have a different opinion. :)

Good luck to him and everything but he's fallen into the pit that so many clumsy attempts at this sort of thing do, in that his "giveaways" are just laughably worthless.

If i get this guitar, I'll make my music available for free. Whoop-de-f**king-do.

The person who donates the most gets this cheap guitar that I won't need any more and I won;t even charge you shipping. Again, whoop-de-f**king-do.

He could have set some donation levels with somethings of actual equivalent value...£20 = 1 hr skype lesson etc.

But his video is just bumbling nonsense.

The sad thing is that he values he's entire creative future at £7,000.

Havn't had Lobster in ages ,fancy a good Chablis to wash it down followed by a Beef Wellinton accompanied by a nice 1962 Chateau Haut Brion ......then i'll snuggle into the Cigar Divan with Cohiba Esplendido and an Armagnac.
I know ..........I'll stick up one of those modern begging bowl ads on a fund me page
Hope I can rely on everybody here to sustain my indulgence .

Really strange thing- but I worked hard for my 1960 Strat.

I found the harder I worked to buy it myself, the more I appreciated it.

    Weird.

Yeah maybe the guy in the vid should do the same instead of him expecting it to be handed on a plate to him ....i honestly cant believe somebody would try this ...just pure greed ...he should maybe just practise a bit more on what he has..
