Yes the name choice is wrong...

Its not available in the U.K.

I refuse to run an ad blocker as I think it's unfair on content creators.

Many of them have other ways to raise money such as Patreon or Paypal donations. If you gave them £1 via Paypal it would probably be more than they'd get off Google for several 100 views. That's what I do anyway.
One day I'm going to make a guitar out of butter to experience just how well it actually plays.

I don't really care. He's asked, and people are giving of their own volition.

He's doing well. Dropped the goal to £5k and he's got £1696 at this point. 33% of the way there. Go, Dave! :-)

The 62 Strat in question is a refin, with a changed bridge and output jack...............might well be other parts changed also...........the "original" owner (the one and only owner apparently) has pics of him playing it "back in the day".........which always makes me suspicious nowadays.............and the 3 knobs on it all say tone..................

Least its not young Daves money if it is a basket case.............phew..............

Perhaps, it is all a cunning plan? Lie about the true value of the guitar. Fifty per cent of the alleged price might turn out to be enough to meet the real world price of the guitar.

Agreed. Dave needs to be nice to tourists. After all, they will make up the bulk of his paying audiences at the nearest Butlin's.

    Aaaaaaa-gaaaaaaa-do do do.

Noooooo! That's not a Stratocaster, it's a Polymorph, it's sucked the shame out of the poor fellow.   Somebody needs to help him!   It will turn into a 1962 JTM45 and fuck off before he knows it.

Incedentally, I went into a shop the other day and bought some snacks for a couple of homeless guys outside.  I asked If they wanted a drink but they said the cans were too expensive in there.  I said don't worry, I can afford it but they said no, don't buy us a drink from there, it's the principle.   There's a lesson in there somewhere.   If only I could bottle up that sentiment and send it to this guy I feel in some way it would be more valuable than the '62 Stratocaster.

At this point I'd grab a new professional US Strat (that nifty blue finish) and call it a day.

  • Never seen this guy before. Sits ill with me. If the current owner wanted to help him out he could let him pay in instalments. Or the lad could take an unsecured loan assuming he's credit worthy.

Also, given the likelihood that the neck of this Strat contains dalbergia nigra I assume the guitar has a commercial use certificate issued by the APHA lest anyone commit a criminal offence by such flagrant commercial use without one?

YouTube really needs a paid tier that is ad free.  I'd pay to not have to sit through ads, I know I could just use an ad blocker but I don't think that's a fair solution on the content creators.  I think there was/is a paid version but I wasn't ever aware of it launching in the UK
You don't  need to bud, just download the YouTube ad blocker extension on Chrome

I think others have alluded to it, but spending £5k of other people's money on a guitar, that may or may not come with 50% cash back to the buyer were he to achieve such funds would certainly be quite beneficial to both wouldn't it.

Almost like spending tax payers money on keeping yourself in power
Please note my communication is not very good, so please be patient with me
