Small update, managed to find a case that fits. Tried the Thomann own brand case, but it was a touch too small, sent it back and ordered the Gator DW Extreme.

Quite cool, you get an empty space and a shed load of inserts to fit various 'pointy' guitars. You then velcro the right shapes to the sides with the guitar in place, fits really well.

Very much liking this! Been on the Precision Guitar Kit site. Shame no UK supplier:(. Quite fancy the look of the Junior. What sorta price does shipping run to if its not too rude to ask? Cracking lookin Explorer man!

    Thanks @sawyer :)

Didn't pay any postage or customs on either this or the V kit I've started, not sure if I just got lucky, worth dropping an email to Phil.

That thing gives me the raging horn!
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

    edited July 2016
With the arrival of the Chloe V imminent, with its proper ebony fretboard, I thought I'd have a go at staining the neck on the explorer. Using a Minwax ebony stain pen, I applied over 3 days.

It's not black, but it's certainly a lot darker and looks black from a distance :)
