    If it's familiar to anyone, it's because it was entered as my ROTM back in November, but it was also agreed with Sheldon at the time to double up as a future backing for SOTM.

    If anyone wants the chords, give us a nudge :)

    Sent mine in.  Only my second entry and, again, done in one session.  I was first to enter last time and forced myself not to listen until I'd submitted.  I can't seem to find the playlist but just had a quick listen to @stratman3142 and, while not played the same, we definitely seemed to head in some similar tonal directions.

    Nice track, @Bellycaster ;;;;- and plus points to anybody who can tell which guitarist I've recently discovered

    PS - I seem to have got the 'rejection' email but will presume it went through unless tagged and told otherwise!

    For the nerds: recorded using my Kemper via an Apogee Duet into Logic X.  MBritt Fender Twin profile.  First time I'd hooked it up to the computer.

    Thanks @imalrightjack ;

    Will give yours a listen as soon as it's up. Although I've had the backing done for months, I never bothered thinking about the solo until last week. so no prep as is probably apparent ;)

    I'm liking yours a lot @stratman3142 ;

  • @Bellycaster I'm not into prep-work - I lose my feel if I do.  However, on reviewing my entry, I maybe could have spent more time on the second half...not sure it has made it through the SOTM filter of doom.  Perhaps @TTony or @Antique_Guitars can confirm?

    These challenges are all the hard work of Mr @Antique_Guitars  (I'm a little embarrassed to admit), so he'll have to reply ...

  • Do you just take the associated glory and hide?  Shocking, @TTony - bet you take a percentage of the winner's purse too.

  • @imalrightjack Yeah they always get through but sometimes I'm a bit slow to upload because my work is so mental I can't think straight a lot of the time and I have to work late sometimes so tend to do them in batches l. I'll do some more tonight.

    @imalrightjack I've had second thoughts after sending a solo off and sent in a "version 2" of a solo before, I think. We all want you at your best :-)

    But never more than 100%.

    I'm more onetakejack than anything.  Very limited time to sit down and record anything, so that's mine done and dusted.  Good to know though!

    @Bellycaster I wouldn't mind having the chords please.

    I'm going to play amateurish pentatonics over them anyway as usual, but at least this way I can claim they're informed note choices.

    No probs @markv ;;

    Might as well stick em on here for all instead of PMs.

    Emin7*, A7, Dmaj7.......................................* The add on note on the Emin7 is the "A" on the B string

    Turnaround Chords (Edited for Accuracy) F#9 to F9 E9 to Eb9

    then, Bmin7, C#min7, C#min11(x44454), F#7, A11(x05430), A7, Dmaj7

    Not sure A11 is harmonically correct, I looked it up on Gootar, I thought it was G/A, but there is an "E" note in there which is not in a G chord.

    There we go.

  • I have no idea where the E9 to Eb9 occurs!

    Thanks @markv

    Between 30 and 32 seconds, it's blink and you miss it @imalrightjack and the chords on the rhythm guitar are somewhat disguised by the Bassline and the lead guitar fill I put over it. If you try and isolate the rhythm guitar in your head you might just catch it
