What's your job and do you enjoy it? I'm sick of mine...

I work for a big regional utility firm, have done for the past 11 years but for the last 7 months I've been in a new role planning and prioritising major capital works. My previous role was as an area engineer, on call now and again, and very busy.

In comparison, my new role is much slower paced and in some ways, there's not a lot of action going on. However, the hours are standard, there's no on call, and it's slightly better paid. Above all it allows me more time to do the things I enjoy outside work.

Do I enjoy my job? Meh. I have been tempted to look at going back to my old role in a different area, but I'm not sure because it would adversely affect my outside work activities due to going back on a rota etc...
