Is a tape emulation complete without modulation/warble?

For a lo-fi plophead like me, no!

But this does sound rather good with drums where you don't want a load of warble generally.

Same here! Think I'll hold off and try to get the waves one if I really wanted one.

If you're still using ableton, I am using ELPHNT TAPE, a free tape effects strip which is not bad!

Yeah, stayed with Ableton. The audio to MIDI facilty is pretty good, not quite as good as Melodyne, but good enough so out with Melodyne I go.

My tape/colour options: Reelight, HornetTape, ToTape564 by Airwindows. It's enough right now

yea, you need to give it a few gos. It came back with an internal server error 500 a few times.
