The way to stop people from accusing you of making shit up is not to call them mean names in the hope it will frighten them into submission. it is to stop making shit up.

Oh, and if posting an opinion on an internet forum counts as an 'agenda', then fair enough. Just don't start crying when your pathetic trolling gets called out love.

I wasn't trying to frighten you either, simply pointing out that you're being a cunt. Maybe you should get trauma counselling too lmao

This is only an observation, but given enough time I have the feeling that capitalism will destroy every market sector.
If we are not ashamed to think it, we should not be ashamed to say it.

Capitalism can't really destroy an industry in the way that socialism can. A massive drop in revenue could hurt or even destroy some clubs, that but simply creates more room for the clubs who are/were more careful.

Hang on - you said that they were *facts*. Now it's opinion?

I shall do my best to avoid being wounded by accusations of trollishness and cuntery. It's surprisingly easy since the accuser has a recent history of making shit up as is not coming across as a particularly good judge of...well...anything.

I think more and more people are getting fed up with it.  What I objected to was having to pay a large monthly fee to Murdoch to watch Sky Sports when I wasn't watching the football.  I was watching cricket, NFL, and the rugby autumn internationals but most of my money was going to the Premier League.  I ended up cancelling, and bought a 1 day Now TV pass for the Lions match.

From what I'm picking up a lot of people are getting to the point of cancelling - even without the illegal streaming side of it.

Football isn't the only sport that has been ruined by money.  Look at cricket with AB DeVilliers not playing test matches for South Africa, and the mess in Australia at the moment.

Transfer prices have always been on the silly side but the figures being banded about this window are insane.

Decent but not world beating players like Lukaku are being attached to 70 million plus transfer fees. Players with limited pedigree and virtually no winners medals like Eric Diet are now 50 million plus.

It's loopy. I am amazed that football can sustain this. I am also amazed that the general public can stomach it. For so much talk of austerity and poverty, right there with so many supporters is one of the most obscene businesses.
People have no stomach to challenge it. They aren't prepared to stop the Sky subscription or pass on the new season kit or give up the season ticket. It makes me sad to see cricket going the same way.

As I said before, I cancelled Sky Sports a while ago, but this is appealing :)

Yes, but capitalism always heads towards distorted markets, cartels, corruption and cronyism, etc. A true free market doesn't exist.

Sure, but imperfect capitalism (exhibit A: USA), is much better than imperfect socialism (USSR, China, Cuba, etc.)

People in general are just greedy scumbags, and it's always the sociopaths who work themselves into the top positions  =)
